Hi there! I’m Yaya K. To me, hairstyles, especially braids, is more than just a passion; it’s my art form. From delicate cornrows to stylish box braids, I’ve always been fascinated by the endless possibilities of hair. My love for braiding began young – I was the “braided queen” of my school!

My Journey
I’ve always been fascinated by technology. My love for tech runs just as deep as my love for braids. Eight years ago, I channelled this passion into creating AppFrolution, a mobile app that serves as a digital hair diary specifically for afro hair care. Watching thousands of women using the app to manage their hair journeys has been incredibly rewarding.
However, after running AppFrolution, I craved a new challenge. I was looking for a way to connect, not just with tools, but with real support for the day-to-day challenges braiders in the brading community faced. I wanted to help them to strive and provide a hair braiding business support. That’s where this website comes in!
That’s why I launched this platform: to be a space where braiding passion meets business, and where hair professionals can find both inspiration and structure to grow.

Leveraging my 15+ years of experience in various roles across international companies, from finance to marketing and with a background in engineering, I wanted to bring a unique perspective to the world of braiding. I’ve learned the value of systems, strategy, and efficiency.
