Who I am
Hi there! I’m Yaya K. To me, hairstyles, especially braids, is more than just a passion; it’s my art form. From delicate cornrows to stylish box braids, I’ve always been fascinated by the endless possibilities of hair. My love for braiding began young – I was the “braided queen” of my school!
I’m excited to share all the knowledge I have gained and am excited to start this new journey and provide you with a hair braiding business support. I really want to inspire others to embrace their creativity through braiding. Furthermore, I believe that with the right tools and guidance, anyone can master this beautiful craft.
My Journey
I’ve always been fascinated by technology, too. Eight years ago, I channelled this passion into creating AppFrolution, a mobile app that serves as a digital hair diary specifically for afro hair care. Seeing thousands of women using the app to manage their hair journeys has been incredibly rewarding.
However, after running AppFrolution, I craved a new challenge. I was looking for a way to connect more directly with the braiding community and help the hair braiders to strive and provide a hair braiding business support. That’s where this website comes in!

Leveraging my 15+ years of experience in various roles across international companies, from finance to engineering, I wanted to bring a unique perspective to the world of braiding.
Combining my love for technology, brainstorming, and of course, braids, this platform allows me to share my knowledge and empower other braiders to flourish.
